[from the diary of James Dinsmore Templeton of the 23rd Ohio]

Played as usual, went
this morning and procured
Straw for Beds which we
arranged upstairs. Knapsacks
came in today. Foot[?] came in
Gilett brought Trunk & cooking uten
sils. Wrote letter to Eliza Clear pleasant.
